Can't even start the 3.10oe-a update maker...

I need serious help with installing 3.10oe-a! i've followed the directions, and can't even start the update maker. I really want to run homebrew and stuff on my PSP, so i can play some emulators.

What i need to know is how to start the updatemaker, and maybe step by step instructions for getting it to work.

Here's what i'm doing:

I put all of the folders and updates in the correct places (or at least i think so) and try running it from there. I put them in the GAME folder, both the oepdatemaker folders. I try running it, and it comes up "Corrupted Data" every time. I have 3.03 regular firmware installed, and i have that motherboard thingie, or at least the writing is up at the corner.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

well you need to downgrade first to 1.5 to make the 3.1 updatemaker work

ummmm ok, but i cant downgrade because i have a crappy "later version" of gta lcs. And i aint gonna fork over 60 bucks to buy an original copy, nor am i even go through all of the trouble to find one. AGH!!! THIS STINKS!!

Is there any other way? Like, can the mod folks come up with a fancy new exploit thing that DOESNT use the early version?

hes at 3.03, and no there isnt another way to downgrade yet. I would try borrowing it from a friend or just renting it

you might even find a copy at like a pawnshop or a game stop or eb (depending on what cuntry you live in) but good luck

I saw a copy on ebay.com just earlier this morning that was going for $12.

If you live in a bigger city you can rent the games, and the Blockbuster or wherever you rent games from will most likely have an older, unpatched version.
