It is safe, as long as you don't delete any important files.

If you manually delete the revisions you've made, you'd better promptly put new ones (of the same file) in that place. If you get rid of a modified "opening_plugin.rco" manually, for instance, you'd need to put either the original "opening_plugin.rco" file in its place, or place a different, modded one there. If not, the PSP would brick. Now, it's still "OK" because in that state, the PSP can be recovered still with the recovery mode or Pandoras Battery. It's just a hassle for a bit if you goof up.

Okay, before I start I'd like to warn you that in every sense of the word, I am a noob. My friend at school used a pandora's battery to downgrade my psp and put it on 3.52 M33-4

And actually, this tutorial has been a HUGE help to me, but I'm getting stuck at this step:

"7. Now go to your PSP then into your game menu and load the Theme Selector."

Now I'm probably just making some completely stupid mistake, but I seriously don't have any idea what you're talking about when you say "Game Menu" besides that you might be talking about playing a game and pressing pause. Somehow I don't think that's the case. (If it is, just lemme know)

However, when I enabled the thing under "Plugins" and exited the reboot or whatever-it's-called menu, it automatically had this Vista theme on it. How the heck did that get there? And now I have no idea how to find this "game menu". I'm only trying to use the themes that you provided in that link, though earlier I was trying to run a different one, then deleted that one cause I thought it was the problem.

So please, help me out here. I've had a psp for probably 3 years and just now got around to hacking it ^^;

It means exit USB mode and go back to your psp. Then go to the 'GAME' tab in the main psp menu, and a new app will be there that you can launch called the 'Theme Selector"

I thought that, but nothing showed up. Is there anything I could've done wrong? The only options under the game tab are Game Sharing, Saved Data Utility, and Memory Stick.

Oh, go to Memory Stick, and you should see the app there.

I have no idea why but there's just nothing there. It just keeps saying "There are no games"

I also seem to be having a bit of a problem as well. Everytime i enable it in recovery mode and restart, it just stays a black screen and then shuts off.

Try reinstalling it. Be extra cautious to do everything right.

I reinstalled it, and followed every part of the tut, but it still does the same thing, I turn it on, and then it just stays a black screen. Also, I'm using a 1000 series psp with cfw 3.90 m33-3.

Lol. The topic says this is 'How to install CXMB for 3.52M33-4'. You need 3.52M33-4.
