File Formats

The following are the file formats that are important to development of applications for the PSP.
- PBP files
- Single file archives containing everything needed for running Memory Stick applications
- PMF files
- Animation files, in the PSMF (PlayStation Movie Format)
- THM files
- A still picture icon for video thumbnails
- icon0.png
- A still picture icon in PNG format (24 bits per pixel, 144x80 pixels)
- icon1.pmf
- An animated version of the icon0.png icon, file format still being worked out.
- pic1.png
- A full-screen background picture for the file manager in PNG format (24 bits per pixel, 480x272 pixels)
- snd0.at3
- Background music to play in the file manager, with the ATRAC3plus™ codec
