Prevent Autoloading
To prevent games from loading automatically when the system is turned on from a powered off state, goto Security Settings. Leave the password at 0000 and set Parental Control Level to 1. Now when you power on your PSP, you can press X to run the game or O to cancel.
If you forget your Parental Control password, you can reset it to 0000 by doing a System Settings then Restore Default Settings from the menu.
Check for Dead/Stuck Pixels
IGN has a download that will help you determine whether your PSP has any dead or stuck pixels. Basically, it's just a series of images that you can use to help you detect any problems in your screen.

level 4 Back Light without charger
You can keep the brightness level on your psp at level 4 without the charger,to do this, plug in your charger, put the brightness to 4 and start a game, in the middle of the game boot after the sound has played but the game hasnt loaded yet, pull out the charger and wait untill the game laods, then exit, your psp's brightness will be at 4, you can evern turn the psp on and off again and it will remain at 4 as long as you dont press the brightness button again

Copy an icon file to your MS DUO root folder. (ex: D:\32.ICO)
Create a text file named AUTORUN.INF containing the following two lines.
Replace 32.ICO with your filename.
[autorun] icon=32.ico
