FAQ
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Q: Where are the PSP cheats downloaded from?
A: The cheats are downloaded from http://cheats.gbatemp.net/PSP/ to be more specific however the cheats are downloaded from the url specified at the following page: http://cheats.gbatemp.net/PSP/update.php?mode=cheats&get=url.

Q: Can I change where the PSP cheats are downloaded from?
A: No, even if you could most other sites wouldn't follow the same archive format so it would fail miserably at extracting the cheats.

Q: Why does this just crash on my PSP?
A: I honestly don't know. I know TweakDISPLAY causes the program to crash when it is activated however no-one has given me any extra details about the crash such as PSP model, firmware version, activated plugins. I have tested this on a PSP-1000 running 5.00 M33-6, a PSP-2000 running 5.50 GEN-B2 and a PSP-3000 running ChickHEN R2 and it has worked fine for me on all of those.

Q: Is this program made by the people behind the DS homebrew UsrCheatUp?
A: No, however the program follows the same general idea and allows for the updating of the PSP cheat database wirelessly. The application was created after a request was made by a member of GBAtemp.

Q: Why is the cheat database so teeny tiny?
A: Because it was only started early this year and is an attempt to give the PSP community a database which is large, supports multiple cheat engines, is constantly updated, well formatted and contains mostly working cheats. Eventually I hope this cheat database will measure up to that of the GBAtemp NDS cheat database which is one of the largest NDS cheat databases.

Q: You don't have cheats for my games, what gives?
A: You can submit cheats at http://cheats.gbatemp.net/forum/viewforum.php?f=8.

Q: I don't have Wifi, can I download the cheats using my computer?
A: Yes, you can download the PSP cheat database from http://cheats.gbatemp.net/PSP/.

Q: How often do you plan on updating the cheat database?
A: My aim is to update the cheat database at least 1 time per week. This will usually be done Sunday night (GMT+10 time).

Q: Do you give credit to the original code makers?
A: Credit is given to the original code makers on the cheat forum. Those who have a a large ammount of codes in the cheat database are also mentioned "Credits and Help" text file distributed with the database download.

Q: I was looking through the program with a hex editor and found some random looking strings (eg. "There are 3 kinds of people in the world: Those who can count and those who can't"). What are they?
A: Thats my easter egg. Find out how to make the PSP show those messages and you win... nothing.

Q: Can I change those strings :D?
A: No, changing anything in the EBOOT will cause it to not load. I done this so people couldn't change the download address of the cheat database and take credit for the program.

Q: What happens if GBAtemp goes down, is there a mirror setup so I can still download the cheats?
A: Kinda, I have setup a mirror to the cheats at http://cheats.raing3.co.cc/. You will only be able to update from PC using this mirror however as I haven't setup PSP CheatUp or my server to support updating from withing PSP CheatUp.

Q: Did anyone actually ask any of these questions in the FAQ?
A: Most of these questions were asked except for a few.
