PSP Earth - Beta 0.2 - Released 03/06/07

Introduction:

This is the first public beta of PSP Earth. Please... do not expect many webcam streams at the moment as there are only 3 *wistles randomly* but hey, at least you can see how it all works ect...

Currently the engine is being built in HTMl, Flash, Java and a small amount of Visual Basic
Soon i hope to program PSP Earth in LUA and compile it so it is acsessable via an Eboot from the games menu

Requirements:

1. A Playstation Portable

2. Firmware 2.00 - 3.50 + 3.03oea - 3.40oe. Basically any firmware with internet capabilities - note the flash sections will not be played on any firmware below 2.71

3. A wireless internet router

4. Preferably A memory stick duo (if not host them on your own server as we do not provide it like that)

5. A fast internet connection to have a stable refresh rate, i'd say 1mbps+ will be fine

Install Instructions:

1. I presume as your reading this you already have done, but if not : unzip the contents of the download to the root of your memory stick

2. Open up the internet on your psp, and in the address bar, type in "file:/pspearth/index.html" Note the name of the folder will of course change if you decide to rename it yourself!

3. In my opinion, bookmarking the index.html page is a good idea so you can easily go back to it.

Misc:

I have not had time to work on this anymore as ive had GCSE exams and i went away on holiday, but i will carry on working on this now. Note the fact that theres only 3 webcam streams and information pages but as i said this release is purely for testing and showing you how the engine works.

The webcam image may not change for a while or be jumpy, if this happens then i presume the server for the stream are busy, so maybe refesh the page or try another stream.

I dont mind people looking at the source as its preety hard to put protection against the files from being modified, but please do not most of the source without my permission. If you ask me first i am bound to say yes so dont be scared or put off =] If you get the hang of the engine and you have webcam links, you can contribute to sending them to via dcemu or contact me, or even msn me on "msn (at) pulse101.co.uk)

Thank you!
