MADWORLD HELP!

Well first off i have searched the site and googled for bout 3 or 4 days trying to find a solution, BUT no luck. I have a softmod wii running v3.1U with gamma o.3 backup launcher with 002 fix. when i try to launch my backup of madworld it goes to the wrist strap screen and i press A, Then NOTHING. Nothing but a black screen and just sits there. can i just update to v3.3U? It works on my friends and hes running 3.3U. And i also read about the ios53? But ive read that doesnt work... Any help would be much appreciated. This game is awesome and id love to be able to play it at home instead of going to my friends to play it all the time.
