USB Game loading tutorial
Having just figured this out myself, and having discovered how cool it is, I decided there should be a tutorial here about how to set this up. However, other people have created better guides than I could ever do, so I will just link to the one that I used. It has instructions for system menu 4.0 and for prior versions. (For those with system menu 4.2, it has instructions on downgrading.)

The only thing I'll add is that their listing of compatible devices is by no means exhaustive. If you have an old external hard drive laying around or even just a USB thumb drive, give it a try. On the other hand, if you're going to spend money on something anyway, make sure you get a model that's known to work well.
