ANYWAYS. i dont think this is true, or else my wii should be bricked long ago.

I think you've got your information crossed with other rumors. it is true that nintendo can "detect" hacks when it performs a system update. I think even in a few cases has caused some bricks upon updating. But otherwise they can not see that you have a hacked wii at any other time. The kart people who got found out were running cheats to get stupid fast times and wipe the floor with everyone else. so much so that after people complained enough nintendo had to do something about it.

Actualy if you have ever agreed to their statements when updating they can see if you have a hacked channel, They own the wii they could send packets to it if they wanted, you do know if you have been on the nintendo channel and agreed to that "send channel data thing" all your channel and daily info will be sent to nintendo servers.
