Easiest way to use homebrew stuff

I've had 2 psp's with cfw's on them but im now interested in doing the same with my wii. mainly to play emulators like snes and such. what is the easiest way to accomplish this without a mod chip? The wii is about 2 years old if that helps any. If you could point me to a detailed walkthrough that would be amazing. thanks in advance

you dont need a modchip for emulators. modchip is for burned games. softmod your wii.

what version is you wii on?
