No, it'll make it obsolete to those who actually do use it still. They will no longer have to use it.

If this works, then system menu 4.0 will be required just to run the hack. And if you are on 4.0 then running the Twilight hack isn't even possible. So actually, this won't change anything for the twilight hack.
4.0 = this hack
3.4 and under = twilight hack

People using the twilight hack would upgrade to 4.0 just to use this easier hack.
