Metal Gear Solid 4 is i believe the best game ive ever played and thats y i played it about 10 times now passing almost every difficulty except Boss Extreme and the one after it. I wanted to try and download the game save for MGS4 to have the Boss Extreme mode unlocked just to have some fun when playing but everytime i download the saved files and add them to my mem stick then try it out on my ps3 the files come out corrupted. Any idea why?

My steps, i download the files and unzip them, then i open and overwrite my files in my mem stick where my ps3 folder is ps3/saveddata/MGS4 folder. Ive already tried many files but they all come out corrupted

have you tried any other games (and their saved games) just to make sure your doing it correctly?

Yeah, i tried devil may cry 4 and that worked just fine. I also tried soul calibur 4 but it told me that it cant load the saved file because it wasnt made by me.

The save is probably protected then.

So u mean that the MGS4 saves that are uploaded are protected by the ppl that uploaded them? I did try and make a folder for all mgs4 downloads, i think there were about 18 files to download them from but they all came out corrupted.

No, some games have protected saves so only the ps3 that made the save can use it. And I just saw a glimpse of an article that stated Sony made a patch so that no save can be used that wasn't made on your system. But not sure.

Awwww drats thats a bummer if those saves cant be used at all

Yep, it would be nice if they would get rid of the save protection. I'd like to be able to transfer my saved games to a different hard drive.

I was able 2 manage on getting another MGS4 saved file off another site and successfully i uploaded it 2 my ps3. I think the files here are just corrupted

interesting... can you upload it to our saved games section. After can you try saving it from there... if its corrupt ill figure out whats going wrong.

Ive only tried one of ther file, one about having all emblembs, and it has worked just fine. ive tried pretty much most of the files posted here and not even one worked. I made about 20 new saved files in mgs4, 1 new file 4 a download but it all was corrupted
