Prototype disappointing?

It seems Prototype isn't doing so well according to the reviews. A real shame because it seemed to have so much potential. Discuss.

I've only heard of the name, what is so appealing about it?

It's free roam and your a superpowered being (like in inFamous), but your a shapeshifter rather that a lightning rod. You can turn your arms in into blades, claws, a shield, etc. It seems the game is lacking in the graphics and story department though, with a touch of repetitiveness to boot.

Yeah, it's dissapointing, cause the save games doesn't work, the game itself is very good.
