Mac vs. Linux vs. Windows.

isnt a debate simply an organized argument? and what user error could POSSIBLY cause a computer to crash when it WASNT TOUCHED? there is no USER in thst ERROR

7. Its hard to trust your source on Linux with the military because of it being a Linux site you got it from. Thus your source is biased and cant be accounted for.

There's more to it than that, but basically all the encrypted passwords are "hidden" in a directory via Windows, but it is impossible to read. (I forget what the files were called), but plain and simple, just used Linux to obtain the passwords, and my pal JTR to decrypt them, and voila, administrator access.

My point: linux is useful. The only thing Mac could "beat" it at I would say would be design,
but even Windows would win in that category.

Macs are pretty. If you want to buy a picture to hang in your house because you think it'll look nice, then shell out that 1.5K.
If you want a computer that can do stuff, get Windows or Linux.
What's this? You want a computer that's highly compatable? Go with Widnows.

Macs aren't as bad as everyone makes them out to be. They aren't that bad, you're just paying an unnecessary premium for them. The hardware isn't bad depending on what model you get. For example the new iMacs with the i7 chips seem to be friggin awesome. Apple just packages those components in a pretty package and charge extra for it. In the future I will probably buy a Mac as a second PC. They're easy to use and are stable.

Linux will never be a mainstream OS. It doesn't have the support necessary to really carry itself. And because of this most companies aren't going to program for it.

It's not even a debate. This is the way it is and it isn't going to change.

Windows has the largest market share- Release for it. Make money.
Mac has the next- Release for it. Make money.
Linux is the last very small %- Dont release for it. Update others. Make more money.

Its a business...and their business strategy makes perfect sense.

Sorry but thats just damn right idiotic statement, so your saying everyone who uses a computer knows how to install a different os? letalone i know people who don't know how to even burn a disc.
out of the Billions of people that use a computer how many do you think actualy know how to install a different os and outof that how many do you think would actualy bother to waste there time Completly downgrading to Linux, if they made msn and office for linux it would make a difference, however people still wouldn't use it, as linux has messangers that are better then windows in certain aspects but you think a few MICROSOFT programs that are not made for linux they are going to for some reason go ohh yeah a os that will loose us revenue lets change our programs so it works on it and we loose more, there is a reason .exe work for windows systems and not for much else.

better with Linux for free Thats the only better difference Linux is free, but because i got my windows 7 free in the first place i couldn't give too S**ts, the fact that many people are just downloading windows 7 destroys your statement of it being free if windows 7 for free in the first place there would be no Linux.

notice that linux leads the pole here. and linux is more advanced then mac. faster, cleaner everything. support windows all you want, but you know damn well that linux is WAY better then mac is. mac is and has been out of date since linux matched it a year or 2 back. if u all will note, ubuntu's birthday was in september 3 after 7 launched. 5 years old and already matches todays OS's that were around in the 70's.

at the rate linux is growing, compare 5 year old linux to 5 year old mac and 5 year old windows. now take linux and speed it up 20 years or so.
