Some things I admire about the PS3

Before I post these, I would like to say I'm not dissing the Xbox 360 nor the PS3, as most of you know I'm an avid 360 Player, but these are some things I really wish that 360 could have that PS3 has.

______________________________________________________________________

Reason Number 1
Every game for Ps3 Is not an FPS like they are on 360,
Image

Let's face it, Just about every game for the 360 are FPS's, now there's nothing wrong with that, but it does get a little stale In my opinion.
Image

Out of the 15 games I own for the Xbox 360 8 of them are FPS.. now I know that's just MY PROPERTY of games, But If I hear a game is good I usually buy it.. and most of them are FPS.

_____________________________________________________________________

Reason Number 2
Almost everyone on the 360 will always get really angry over a Video Game, and that they MUST PROVE they have more "skill" than their rival.
Image
Come on! I literally joined a Modern Warfare 2 game as it was in the lobby and I was Instantly slammed with profanity before I even got a chance to speak, I don't like to make fun of people for no reason, but I might be alone in this.

________________________________________________________________________

Reason Number 3
I actually don't know If this one is true or not, but this Memory card reader area..

Image
This would be the best thing since slice bread to me, seeing as I'm always loading videos and things off of a flash drive, This would really help, but I'm not going to go into detail about it, as I'm unsure of how true it is that some PS3's have this or not.

_________________________________________________________________________
Last but CERTAINLY not least.

Reason Number 4
Sony does not Nickle and Dime you.

Image

Yeah PSN+ soon, but that's optional..
You have no Idea how f**k (sorry for that) frustrating it is to have to pay for EVERY LITTLE THING EVER that you want on 360, and I'm aware PS3 charges for things too.. but If I'm paying for the service I should get something Free.. as from what I hear PSN+ is doing.

_________________________________________________________________________

In short, if one of friends asked me to trade them Their PS3 for My 360, If they had a decent library of games as I do, I would take that offer.

I love my 360.. but It's really annoying me lately..
Thanks for reading My novel lol, and if you have anything to say feel free to reply.

I love Xbox mainly for Halo.. without it theres not a chance in hell I'd have a 360.

I'm sorry, but we all said that about the Wii...... Look what that turned into.

Also I completely agree with you. Plus you said you load videos on and off all the time.... Why do you not just use a media server from your PC to your Computer?

Re: Some things I admire about the PS3

Im starting to find new found love for my 360 after I got netflix (free ;) ) on it.

Reason 1 I agree with. 2 I dont at all. theres many ways to stop this such as muting the people or getting a party together of friends so you dont have to listen to the 12 year olds. In fact, Id much rather have a lot of people talking then barely anyone talking like I have seen the PS3 experience. As a matter of fact I just met a "friend" in Alabama that is hilarious that I will probably play with for days to come.

reason 3 is obsolete since the PS3 doesnt have that anymore (to my knowledge. Airplanes? lol)

Reason 4 I dont really get either. They are providing a service for you. They want xx amount. You dont just go about life getting things handed to you. and "if im paying I should get something free" shouldnt be expected. Its just courteous to offer a "thats not all"

Also, ESPN is coming to 360 so I am definitely not moving away from it anytime soon. Hulu, Netflix, and ESPN, not to mention games, music, and streaming from computer keeps me coming back for more.

Re: Some things I admire about the PS3

There's nothing wrong with Xbox.. Just some things I'd like to have that PS3 has, it what I'm saying.

Also as far as ESPN goes.. I don't really like sports..

Just Halo is keeping me a little on the Microsoft side.

and yeah Im sure Airplanes is gonna love this thread lol

EDIT: yeah but the PS3 is getting from what I hear free Ps1 games for the PSN+ users..
Also Valve tweeted saying that they want the updates for TF2 on the Xbox 360 to be free, but Microsoft is going to charge for them whether or not Valve profits off of it or not, so they haven't released any updates for it. Which in my opinion is really really sh*t.

Re: Some things I admire about the PS3

Sony keeps pulling features out of the machines... No more card readers, no more backwards compatability... etc.

Re: Some things I admire about the PS3

well who used the card readers? who used the BC? it cost alot to do all that. emotion engine isnt a simple thing.

and you can DL some PS2 games to the HDD and play em there. atleast, thats what they say

Re: Some things I admire about the PS3

Only the best of the best and top of the line older generation PS3's had memory card ports. Yes, they are extremely useful if you choose to use them. I have a 60gb backwards compatible PS3 with the media card reader and I wouldn't trade it for anything.

Re: Some things I admire about the PS3

I liked the card reader because you could use your PS3 saves and PSP saves in one location. It would also make quick transfers if you didn't have a USB drive. You could also upload pictures from your cameras super fast.

Re: Some things I admire about the PS3

and the media center thing for ps3... WAY easier than on an xbox. and you can even do something the xbox cant seem to figure out. COPY MUSIC FROM AN MP3 PLAYER. ps3's can explore most any ipods folders (find the music) and all this stuff. have to say, not much cases of YloD compared to RRoD (and now Evil eye)
