I'm not talking about some experimental DVD technology that can hold higher capacities, I'm merely stating that Blu Ray's superiority in capacity is unrivaled in a generation of gaming consoles only capable of 8gb.

Although it's unlikely to hit the market—at least, not anytime before the BDA launches those new discs

Quote the whole thing next time you quote buddy.

and DPM, thats the beauty of it. What says you have to use a DVD or Blu-Ray? With HDDs going to be 750GB+ in size by the time this generation is over I have ZERO problem having a DVD game with 50GB of that game on my hard drive. Itl load faster and not wear down the drive for more benefits.

@BKF: I was just LOL'ing at it. ;)
Oh, and if you have it saved on flash, you save energy, too. Like PSP .ISO's.

Re: Some things I admire about the PS3

I'd rather much download a game and play it off a hard drive then using any kind of discs, although multiple discs don't bother me either. Meh.

Rofl

DVDs Will Hold More Than Blu-Ray. Sony and PS3 Fanboys Cry

Also, disk size wont be an issue soon with people going more of the instant streaming and downloading method rather than buying a disk. I dont see disks just dying out one day, but becoming less common.

Puncharger wrote:Yeah I'm going to sell my box and get a PS3.

Main games I wanna get for it are Bioshock, GOW 3, and MW2.

They would all look great on my new tv.

Bioshock is on both. MW2 is on both (with better servers on Xbox) and GOW is an xbox exclusive ( ). I guess I just dont see the meaning of selling a console for something thatl do the same games. I mean if you went from Wii to one of the big 2 id get it but not switching.

The Xbox and PS3 look about the same too. There is a slight difference in quality, but that goes for each game. The only games you'l go "whoa" on is the PS3 games made by 1st party devs. Most cross platformers are created for 360 and then ported to PS3. That dang awesome cell processor is just too hard to utilize yet.

I do not currently own Bioshock (Borrowed from a friend)
I do not currently own MW2.
GOW 3 is God Of War 3.

lol.. I just bought my xbox and all the stuff for it to play online.. and since I don't have any friends that play it (I have plenty of friends just not many that own a 360) I haven't touched it.

Am I the only one that is intrigued that the acronym for both the xbox's and the ps3's big hitter exclusives is GOW? Just saying, it's ironic.

Yeah no worries.. I didn't take that into account haha.

The 360 does have Left 4 Dead though..

It just really sucks because Ps3 as a console IMO is better.. but Xbox has AWESOME games, most of them FPS, but good none the less.

Re: Some things I admire about the PS3

The PS3 does have a pretty good diverse list of games.

Ever wanted to have your own virtual pet? Check out EyePet!

Ever wanted to go to Africa to take pictures in a safari? Check out Afrika!

Ever wanted to play as an 8bit character in HD? Check out 3D Dot Game Heroes!
