Okies, I iz making a video

Alright, I'm waiting for my camera to come (from London) .... And when it does I think I'll make a video (short movie)... So I wanted it to be cool and stuff, so I came here asking about some stuff, I was wondering if you guys could help me here... Here's a small list of some stuff I need, nothing big but ...

1. Slow motion - Done (thanks crait)
2. Splitter - Done (thanks Advent)
3 Time, Place text on video :
You know the way stuff comes up in Movies, like it says 7:08pm, Tokyo, Japan... have a look at this video to understand what I'm saying...

Notice the way "Buggati Veyron" and "Christiano Ronaldo" comes on...

4. A small sound clip for a trailer - Most movies that have fight scenes have this... watch this to here it (you won't understand anything since its in Urdu, but the music will start at 0:17...)

I'll post back if I need more help... thanks in advance...

Oh and I have made only 1 video in my life (before), if you want to watch it, here :

Re: Okies, I iz making a video

You can do all that stuff with Windows Movie Maker except get a click of audio from a video. What you need to do is download the video from YouTube. Do you know how to do that? Use AnyVideoConverter. It's free and you can download the videos as .WAV files. Then download Audacity. You can split up and shave off parts of the audio that you don't want from the .WAV file. Then use Movie Maker to put the audio back in. :)

EDIT - Could you find me a trailer or a video with that type of music?

Re: Okies, I iz making a video

Instead of downloading a program that linux may/may not support, you can just use
www.youtubetomp3.com to get just the .mp3 of it. Not sure about .wav but you'll probably use audacity or some other music editors anyways to edit the song which you can then save as a .wav.

Also use Adobe Premiere if you want it to look really nice.

I don't really hate Linux, but it's just too funny.

Re: Okies, I iz making a video

Like I said, I can't find a video with music like that... I was hoping that someone knew a movie trailer that had that but I guess I have bad luck on my side... I'll continue to look for one...

@Mailas - 2 things.
1 - I have Windows XP as well.. I can restart my computer and go on...
2 - Did you watch the vid?

Music can be found in final fantasy 7... the part with sephiroth destroying the town and everything is engulfed in flames.

and use adobe after effects for your text on the video.

If you can use Flash, you can use After Effects. :)
