Looking for a speakers to upgrade to

I'm looking to update my slightly dated Logitech X-530 5.1 surround setup for something that can pickup more of the highs and lows that I'm missing. Although my speakers are still very good and do well for my needs, if I am upgrading, I'm looking to spend in the $50-200 range. Do any of you know or recommend a great set of speakers that you know of or have heard personally? Even if they are out of the price range, I have the money regardless, I'm just looking for some good options because I've only stayed updated on the latest PC trends but not speakers at all.

Adversely, if anyone knows of a good place to shop online for speakers, definitely hit me a link.

Hes talking about what quality. Just get some logitech speakers from futureshop that you think sound good. I have like 3000 dollars worth of speakers and heads in my basement, but the worst TV to hook em up on.

Who cares if the speakers are old. Do they sound good? If so keep them and save your money for something else.

Um, ok. So I need help finding a place to buy new home stereo/ theater equipment and I'm in need of speakers. So far nobody has helped me.

I don't know of the trends in audio technology so much. I'm really looking to pick up a 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound set of speakers. Mine are older, yes, but I HAVE saved them for a long time and I am ready to upgrade to new ones. I just can't find a good place to shop, compare, and learn about new products. If anyone can help me find a place where I can do that, preferably new retail items, I could learn. I can't learn about what's good and recent by looking at eBay and I'm not just going to NOT buy something. I want to get something, but need help finding where.

Re: Looking for a speakers to upgrade to

I might just HAVE to stop in there to perhaps find something to get an idea from, which is unfortunate, because they usually don't stock the best stuff for speakers.

Re: Looking for a speakers to upgrade to

Just research the anatomy of a speaker like cone quality and all that jazz then based off that look up speakers with those qualities. And if the speakers don't have in depth specs then you prolly shouldn't buy them.
