So I got this flick on Blu-Ray and I think it looks amazing!

Anyhow what I really want to know is what people think about an RTS game based on the movie.

I was thinking about making 3D models for some RTS engine and having the two sides go at it in usual fashion.

Thoughts?

The two sides would be pretty uneven.

Kind of like the US and Russia during the cold war or the Rebels and the Empire in Star Wars. One side had the tech but few units. The other side did not have as much tech but had overwhelming numbers.

Gosh but Hurt Locker is a totally different kind of film! It isn't even science fiction.

Que, I guess that makes a lot of sense but it seems to me that there are a lot more perks of the military versus the Na'vi. Sure, they had the animals on their side but are you visioning the game to be like that, too? And what if the fight wasn't on Pandora and instead on Earth? Doesn't seem like the Na'vi would have any chance.

It's still wayy better :) They were in the same category for an oscar so therefore I retain the right to compare them!

Those stupid people at the awards wouldn't know a good movie if Shakespeare himself rose from the grave and handed them a script!

Aliens was a good show in my opinion and according to IMDB Avatar scored about the same in user ratings.

At least MY comparison relates to sci fi films featuring invading humans and a native alien race!

Shakespear was a horrible writer for his time and still is.

Many would disagree with you.

All I can say is that his legacy still lives on after 400 or so years and who will remember the crait 400 years from now?

Actually, yes, they will remember me in 400 years from now. I'm ambitious. I don't think I personally know anyone who likes Shakespear besides one or two teachers. Everyone else either hates him and his work or has no opinion of him.

Admittance is the first step to overcoming denial :)
