HA!

Let's not read into this too far. I said I have Mastodon and Weezer. I am not a big fan of either but you don't build a large MP3 collection by turning your nose at everything that comes by.

Airplanes has just received 3 gold stars for a Mastadon mention. Good job.

Re: I just bought a zune.

1TB music player... let me ask you this... where are you going that you need a 5 day playlist? i gaurantee youre not gonna need all of your songs on your music player cause chances are your only gonna listen to about 50-100 of them on a regular basis. 50 songs is just under 3 and a half hours of music (based on a 4 min avg per song) just pick whatever you currently listen to and throw it on the player...then you'll also have room for your videos, games, porn?? etc.

this is true. In fact it would take a year to play all my songs once without repeating any. Besides it's nice to be able to listen to what you like or if you are with friends and they ask you if you have something it's cooler if you actually play it there than if you say "oh yea that's on my server at home."

Re: I just bought a zune.

I can actually see some practical uses, but none that a commercial audience would benefit from. There's a couple professions I could think of that may benefit from a large quantity of space on an MP3/ media player, but that doesn't negate the fact that 1TB is completely over-the-top 99% of the time. And that's a true fact I just made up.

That's probably the ONLY convenience though. Mass storage of music for display, social events, personal record, e-penis length etc.

Well yea if you are a DJ you need that much space or a broad band connection.

Re: I just bought a zune.

Or a salesperson or agent or something that travels and needs lesson plans/ audio files. Still though, 1TB is overkill, IMO.
