Re: I just bought a zune.

The Zune is a solid device. The biggest problem is the Zune software. I normally never have an issue, but it's been known to categorize some of my music in the COMPLETELY WRONG places. I've had music by Disturbed say it was from the album "Hillbilly Tunes Volume 2" or something. It's touchy, but a really nice program nonetheless.

The Zune itself is not really all too bulky. It's about the weight of a 2.5" laptop hard drive. The screen is the same resolution as the iPhone. It also has a radio on it. It's about a centimeter and a half deep and about 2 and a 1/4 inches wide. I got one for $99 on Black Friday one time a few years ago and it's still working just dandy. It's a solid 30gb player for a solid price, if you ask me, but fanboys will always tell you otherwise.

Of course, the 30gb Zune is out-paced by how amazing my 32gb iPod Touch is (and by how many things it can do), but the Zune is not a "do all" device. It plays music, plays video, plays radio, and displays pictures. There's also games now but I haven't gotten into those much yet.

My MP3 collection is about to exceed 1Tb. Any recommendations on a portable device for me?

Haha thanks for the response, Glad to hear nothing to much and nothing I can't fix.. I might dabble into getting Doom on it, but if it requires me to mess with with the firmware or anything I won't.. Overall you can do more things with your objects "Jailbroken" (For lack of better term) but the normal features tend to deter in reliability.
Sounds like I'll love this thing.

As far as the 1TB mp3 player, you could get Huge SD cards and an mp3 player that allots for them I guess haha!
I did a quick google and nothing as to that yet : ( (But by then SD cards will be obsolete im sure)

EDIT: fixed typo.

Re: I just bought a zune.

Que, you can get an SD card-reading MP3 player and get a card splitter (like in Brent's PSP tutorial) and have multiple cards inserted into your MP3 player to be as big as your collection is.
Or.....

Re: I just bought a zune.

I posted about it a while back. It's a limited edition Droid 2.
Que, another option would be to keep your music at home on your computer and stream it. There's a way to do that with the PSP's RSS reader.

Good idea but it's so difficult but you are right. I was listening to "Nerdcore" hip hop but I'm over it. Dunno what I'm going to find next.
