i'm not a fan of Christmas, nor really any holiday other than Halloween, However the one and only thing i want this Christmas is a Saint Patrick Medallion, and before ya'll start asking no i'm not Catholic i am however Irish and he is the Patron Saint of Ireland.

I hate Christmas, The giving part anyway, Damnit it isn't about giving! I haven't gotten anything for Christmas for three years.

P.S. For those of you who haven't figured it out yet: Christmas. That is what it is all about, not giving. ;)

Happy Birthday Jesus!

I actually enjoy giving more than I do receiving. I could easily not buy anything for anyone and have plenty of money to buy two of these Lego sets, but I'm not going to.
Yes, Christmas is a Christian holiday, but it is also a cultural holiday as it is celebrated by many people who are not Christians as a day of giving.
I didn't want to get into a discussion about morals or religion, but I did want to bring up the point that everyone has something they've been wanting and without a real need and this is the place to post it.

Well I guess I'll be the honest one and say I very much so enjoy receiving gifts! Although it is obviously the day we designate as Christ's birth now, that doesn't mean you can't give gifts! That's like Angelina Jolie saying she isn't going to celebrate Thanksgiving because all the Indians that got displaced from their homelands, your just being a grench!

Did she seriously say that? -_-'
Thanksgiving is a celebration of an event that represents giving thanks. That event still happened whether or not we displaced them.
What is protesting it going to do? Make the either of the events erased from history?

i say the Native Americans got a bad rap, and the whole Thanksgiving story we are told in elementary school is a crock. Think of it like this about 200 years after the first thanksgiving supposedly happened we wound up screwing the Native Americans over Royally, and i say we even though i am 1/16 Creek Indian. And when it comes to Christmas even though i'm not a Christian i know the entire thing, to be honest the modern Holiday is an Amalgamation of the Pagan Holiday of Yule and a few original ideas. Early Christians AKA the Catholics when they tried stomping out the entire pagan religion what they did to convert the Pagans to Christianity is change some of the Deities and make them Saints. Another thing they did was take some of the Pagan Holidays and add stories to them to make them Christian. The main examples of this are Yule AKA Christmas and Samhain AKA Halloween AKA All Saints Day.
