if you are expecting your average rockstaresque game then no don't get it but if you are expecting somethign different with not as much free roam new technology and more scripted game play then yes most def get this game. i am now about 4-5 hours into it and it is everything i expected and then some (plus the free stuff they have been giving for it is aweseom new suit when you link to the R* social club new gun if you pre ordered before april 30th from gamestop and the cases you get of course i havent been able to dld the gun or my case yet since teh ps store is still down) all in all imo i would say buy it btu thats just one guys opinion. what do ya'll think on what you've seen about it in game mags and stuff?

Being a huge fan of crime solving games, I think anyone like myself would definitely get it without question. Especially if you dig the 1940's/50's cultural aspect. The only rare time you get to experience
that if it's a Godfather or Mafia game, which are pretty much the same.

But even at the most, the game can go both ways. I'd say rent if you want to make sure your getting
your $60 worth.

oh you're def getting your money's worth on here specially if you like those types of games like one of the cases you have to solve on hte homicide desk (you start out as a patrolman then you get promoted to the traffic desk as a detective then homicide then arson) ties in to a real life unsolved murder from that time period in hollywood (black dhailia anyone?) i mean yeah sure rockstar does take SOME liberties with it (not gonna give too much away here) but all in all it's really good to me atleast but to each his/her own @crait i know alot of people that said that but i really enjoy the game the graphics are awesome the technology they used to do the facial mapping is the best out there if someone is angry you can tell just by lookign at em instead of just the tone of thier voice like in majority of the games out there right now

L.A. Noire is apparently killing both consoles. Some kind of critical glitch.

they posted a workaround for the ps3, but i hear sony shoved a dildo up their donkey and made them take it down for some reason. i think it more then just the game. could be a mix of the game engine being so damn complicated that current fimrwares cant exactly run the process of it. though its just a theroy. probrably not even close but from an at a glance analysis based on multiple reports which have very vague info.

I bet there was just some kind of 'out of bounds' error in multiple arrays, and they didn't include enough checks.

i doubt it. unless they released it without doing a full test of the final product. if they tested it im sure they would have gotten the same error themselves. the dev consoles dont exactly auto patch, if they do use that for runing it on.

i heard about this and i guess i am the one of the lucky few that didnt have any crash problems with it i just beat it not to long ago and not a single crash none what so ever

Yea my buddy got it and he didn't have any problems with his xbox. As for me though it just doesn't seem like my kind of game.

has anyone brought up a point of condition of said systems?

Yeah, it seems to just effect older systems or the first SKU's.

thats just it though i have one of the fat ps3s and i still didnt have any problems

i mean like what condistion are these disk drives in? are they beat up? have these systems sufferd alot of heat? (as in played for 5+ hours a day)
