I do what I do. Making money is just a side-effect.

Re: Read em and weep... a 3DS saga

Btw, in case people were wondering, pretty much any of the older flash carts for the DS models still work with an update (only carts that can actually be flashed themselves, not like the Acekard 2.1, but the 2i will). 3DS games are currently not decrypted and running, but the 3DS doesn't even have all of its features yet.

Once Nintendo releases the first firmware file for download, that is what will be used to create an update for the flash cart (by just reverse engineering the files). I honestly think that this will easily open the gates for the 3DS in terms of homebrew, and I am not sure Nintendo is even better than Sony when it comes to maintaining security, and flash carts have been a VERY dependable way to go about things in the past for the DS.

I will say this though, there is a log that is held in the firmware for the 3DS and viewable on the main menu as well. This might be a problem. It will show the identification of the game carts that you've put in the system. I'm not sure about their policy on the carts yet, but this little feature will more than likely become a problem for homebrewers in the future.

edit: That said, that means that normal DS games (not DSi only) will work on the 3DS, and so will homebrew. Someone has also used a game adapter thing that's commercially sold to get DS games and homebrew going on 3DS without any updating of anything at all. That's on Joystiq if you're interested. On top of that, I'm not sure about the CycloDSi card or whatever it is that is the only one that unlocks DSI games fully, or its compatibility with the 3DS yet.

The best I can do at this exact moment is... $103.90. That's my cost, and that's without shipping. Now, what is your offer, and I might look into it ;)

Like I say. I do what I do. Making money is just a side-effect.

Hmm...I'm about to be selling the HTC Thunderbolt I WON to probably buy an iPad. I wouldnt normally buy an iPad, but it would be like I won one so its a deal. Next up is the selling of my old Dell laptop E1505. Maybe I can get at least $100 out of that.

Re: Read em and weep... a 3DS saga

Well, don't make any hasty decisions. I would be basically using a $71 credit voucher in your favor, in legal terms, off an already-set good deal on a 3DS. I've done this once already, but shall we say, the "sponsor" which provided me this offer may not be willing to do so again so soon, and I'm not sure if I'd rather use that $71 towards homebrew materials yet... so we'll see what's up when the time comes.
