tbh, I've barely come across problems that I couldn't resolve in Linux...
Also, when windows gives me problems and I have to re-format and re-install, I just pop-in my Linux cd/dvd and then select the try feature which runs the OS of the disk so I can copy my files to an external hdd or to a usb =)
