I think the fact of the matter is not
how many there are, but more so how they all accomplish the same task through different means. The end result is the same, a jailbroken iDevice. If they made 100 different jailbreaking programs that used X exploit that is entirely fine. The more the merrier. But when they make 100 different jailbreaking programs with 100 different exploits is when the consumer is hurt because, in this case, Apple can patch the 100 different exploit holes in its next release and we have to go searching again...where as in the next release the jailbreaking team would just use 1 of the 99 left.
Competition in this case is killing the consumer..not helping.
*This is not to say people on this board did not understand this point already (as it is quite obvious). Just the passer going through and seeing this might deem it important.
