~Make Backup ISO Files of UMD Games Then Compress to CSO~

I'm not getting a ISO file that looks like the one you have there. It must not have copied from my PSP to PC correct in the first place right?

Oh. Thats weird, I know what you're talkin about now, but i'm not sure why its a winrar file. Um.. Open up UMDGen v4 and drag the PSP_GAME and BIN File called UMD_DATA.BIN to UMDGen. Then click save as CSO. Once it finishes saving you should have a good to go CSO file.

I've actually tried that already and the CSO file doesn't work.

Should I just start all over? Why wouldn't I get an ISO file that looks like yours?

I don't know, try uninstalling WinRar and try it again. Hopefully the file won't be a WinRar one, i have no idea why it would be.

That didn't work either. I copied the iso to my computer and then to the memory card and it didn't work.
My iso file still doesn't look like yours

I got it to work with the iso - sorry I had it in the wrong spot. But I need to get rid of winwar anyway.
Now I'm going to try to make a cso - I'll let you know - thanks

The cso worked - it didn't shrink very much though - it went from 824,000 kb to 734,000 kb
Does that seam correct?

Yea np, well it shrinked about 90 MB, thats not bad. But i think i've done better on some, but different isos are different.

Should I change the compression value from 9 to something else?
I just left at 9 which was the default - does a lower number make it even smaller?

I'm not sure what that is, I haven't experimented with it or anything. I just keep mine at 9.

I just saved one at 4 and it went from 883,000 to 419,000

I just tested the cso and it worked - I think I'll do 1 and see what that does - probably 200,000

that would be nice getting to 25% the size

Oh nice thats a good one. UMDGen is one of my most used apps.

What exactly is your problem? what is the error code number?
