1.5 ---> 3.03 OE-B

I was wondering if there is a firmware update to go from 1.5 directly to 3.03 OE-B? Or should I go from one update to another, i.e. 1.5>3.02a>3.02b>3.03a>3.03b?

Also, is 3.03 OE-B the better than 3.03 OE-A, or is it unstable since it was just released?

I wish, it would have been easier.
The way to do it is by upgrading to 3.02 OE-A, then to OE-B, then to 3.03 OE-A, then to 3.03 OE-B lol.
I think theres an easier way, but Im not sure.

Hmmm, thanks. Someone on another post of mine said just use the auto-installer to go to 3.03a, then update to 3.03b. So I hope he knows what he's talking about.

Just do that part, with an auto extractor, I can hook you up with a nice one.

You should be able to update from 3.02 oe-a to any other custom firmware.

In fact, you could update a 1.50 to 2.71 se and then upgrade to the newest from there I think.

The only thing you have to look for is the eboot for the firmware. The other ones are just additions. I think 2.71 and 3.02 are the only versions that you can freely upgrade to something else from.

I found a nice guide on the maxconsole forums (birdman wrote it) to help me update to 3.02 oe-a, then I have just upgraded to w/e else I wanted easily.

Lol, sorry Supashay91, I didn't mean to doubt you. And if you could send me that auto-extractor that would be awesome and appreciated. But just so I'm clear on this, I can update right to 3.03 OE-A from 1.5?

yes you can , i belive he just said that above

could you PM me the auto-extractor also plz ?

ok i tried to upgrade my 1.50 to 3.02 OE-A but it says i need the 3.02 eboot and i cant find it anywhere ... do i need to do everything in the readme file or can't i just use it from my psp since its an auto-installer ?

if its possible and apparently it is , i dont need to do 1.50 > 3.02 OE-A .

i could just jump from 1.50 to 3.03 oe-a right ... well could i get a link or pm on what to download and how to do it , like a tutorial or at least a readme file .

thx

Okay, I went to a link with the readme for the 3.03 OE-A auto-installer, and if I'm not mistaken it says I need to also update my PSP firmware to 3.03.

1. Copy oeupdatemaker and oeupdatemaker% to /PSP/GAME if you are in firmware 1.50, or to /PSP/GAME150 if you are in 2.71 SE or 3.02 OE.
2. Get the 1.50 and 3.03 Sony updates, and put them in the oeupdatemaker folder with the names 150.PBP and 303.PBP.
3. Run oeupdatemaker. It will generate the dxar file DATA.DXAR, which has the following hashes:
MD5: 03186D46D2F1B0ACD923098BEBC87281
SHA1: 3C80833A970EEA16A94D74DAFF6220889A9CEE4A
4. Copy 303oeflasher and 303oeflasher% to /PSP/GAME if you are in 1.50, or to /PSP/GAME150 if you are in 2.71 SE or 3.02 OE.
5. Move the DATA.DXAR file to the 303oeflasher directory.
6. Run the program. When it finishes, it will ask you to re-init the psp. When you do that, you will be in 3.03 OE-A.
