Response to the PS1 on custom firmware tutorial

So I am using PSX2PSP to convert an iso. I was given the option to create the keys.bin file and it did so. I set up a folder and moved the eboot.pbp file and the newly generated keys.bin to the folder in x:\psp\game. I am unable to see anything that would indicate that the game is functional. I tried changing the name to base.pbp and that did not work either. Any help?

3.03oe-b running in 3.03 mode
note that I did not have the Hotshots golf keys.bin so I may need to find that to correctly write the new file. Let me know what you think.

Crap. I thought I had it. So here is he situation. I do have the proper files but the game is not playing. I can see the hotshots icon to select the game. Is there a special way the file needs to be set up? The memory access light blinks for a while and then I just end up at a blank screen. ???

Doesnt work exactly like that, you MUST have the same Save.dat files for when you are playing a game like Final Fantasy 8 which has
4 CD's, to get the same Saves you have to have 4 cds that came with your actual Game, otherwise if you try to load Disc 2 when you have completed
Disc 1, theres a chance your save will not corospond with it.

Last I knew, Final Fantasy 8 froze whenever certain spells were cast. There was a place early on in the game that made it freeze at a boss or something (and that was with the NTSC version).

Well it froze for a vast majority of people at psp-hacks' forum, but I quit going there a while ago...

I'm not sure what they did... perhaps they all traded a PAL version around that was mislabeled or something...

Anyways, idk what that second line means in your post lol but I think you are asking what ps1 games I have for psp. I have.

1. Hot Shots Golf 2, as most people should.
2. Resident Evil 1, 2, 3 but 2 will freeze at the police station.
3. Silent Hill
4. Gran Turismo 2 (simulation disc)... the arcade disc just sucks lol
5. Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back
6. Twisted Metal 2 (but I recommend that you just get the iso for the psp version if you want to play some Twisted Metal
7. Command and Conquer Red Alert Retaliation (but I haven't tried it yet).
8. Final Fantasy 7 and I have 8 as well, just haven't tried it b/c of what I had heard before.

That's it I think. I have Driver. Some people said it didn't work... but mine seemed fine. I never did the "tutorial" thing though, so maybe the city messes up idk.

I am looking for my Pacman World game so I can load that on here ;) I just wish I knew how to compress these bad boys b/c these games are sweet.
