I'd backup the savedata folder and then reformat the memory stick so that the firmware will auto-add some of the custom firmware folder for you automatically.

Well, I got stuck at this stage, after doing everything accordingly

...Step 3/d.
load the program called "oeupmaker".(note if you're battery isnt 75% charged it will not run)
after it starts up it does a check to make sure you have the right updates. ...

On my psp, there were 2 program, one was a corrupted data, the other goes something like"3.03 UPDATE", I didn't see any "oeupmaker" program besides those 2. So, I went to run that 3.03 update program. The screen turned black and nothing happened. So, i restarted the psp.

Thanks for your help~

Hi, I'm new to this forum... I bought a PSP last week and its firmware is 3.11. So there's no chance for me to have a custom firmware? All I have to do is waited? I read from somewhere that there is 3.40 OE. Does that mean I juz upgrade my PSP to 3.40 or something? Please tell me what to do, and just have my dear PSP and don't want it to die so soon yet no money to buy UMD games :'(

No I believe you have to downgrade to OFW 1.50 first.
