I remember reading something where they cracked HD-DVD or something like that. I don't want to shut down this place so I wont post the numbers....

so once you ripp the dvd and go into the folder that you chose for it to be put into, the folder will be a VTS that contains the movie?

alright. i am using PSP Video 9 right now. i was successful with my first movie.. sort of. it was monty python and teh holy grail, but for some reason it was a commentary version or something, so it didnt work out to be the movie exactly. it was the movie but commentary was in the background. I am pretty sure i have been doing everything right. i rip the cd and then use psp video 9 and convert the VTS VOB file that was made from ripping. Then i came out as a MPEG-4 file, and when you make a MPEG-4 file, you need to name the video "M4V00009" so it will play. However it just comes out as a corrupted file. I'm not sure whats wrong, but the final file that i am suppose to put in the "100MNV01" folder looks like this: Image
Which I am pretty sure is what it is suppose to look like. someone gave me the converted file of 300 and it looked exactly like this and it played.. so I am not too sure whats wrong.

Well, I may not know the exact answer here, but why does your .mp4 icon look like an archive file?

Yea, they should read videos just fine from a folder named "VIDEO" on the root of the memory stick. Also though, depending on what operating system you have installed on your computer, this process may be different, however, you will most likely have to "change the default program" that opens .mp4 files (to make them open correctly on the computer) by right-clicking any .mp4 file and changing the program.
