Step 2. Copy UPDATE AND UPDATE1 to the game folder of your psp

Step 3. Run installer witch installes 3.71 *note* when it installs it looks like the sony installer but its not it takes you out of the homebrew menu and installs it as if it were official so dont be scared.

I know this is old, but I should mention that in order for this tut to work, you must have your kernel set to 3.52, not 1.50. I kept getting an error message "This program requires 3.52 or higher" until I changed the kernel.

Why are you going to 3.71? You should be going straight to 3.90M33

I've heard a lot of not so good things about save data from earlier firmwares not working in 3.90.

Yes, but better homebrew compatability, and stability.

Does 3.90 allow multidisc PSX EBOOTS?

Of Course it does!

Well, everything's working like a charm for me thus far, so until i have a reason to upgrade I probably won't. I don't see a need to upgrade every time a new CFW comes out because in most cases, a lot of them need some time before they're stable and worth using, at least now that they're coming out seemingly every week.

Umm, were at 3.90M33-3

And your point is?

The multidisc EBOOTS don't seem to run too well on 3.90 M33-whatever. That's why I upgraded, so if that feature doesn't work well on 3.90 (which I've been reading a lot of reports of even with the new multi pops Popsloader) then there's no point to upgrading to that firmware. Besides, I haven't had any compatibility or stability issues, so that's a moot point.

Holy sh*t
