good guide, but can the psp semi brick itself?, i ask because i'm trying to flash my psp on hellcat's but every time it says cannot extract 500.PBP and i know i have it in the right folder, wtf is up with that

put it in the root of your memory stick, and in the folder where you put Hellcat's recovery flasher as well..

The PSP can be semi bricked, and what Da Cool Man said is sometimes helpful if the program you're using is also setup to use the root of the memory stick as a back-up location for the 500.PBP. I'm unsure if this one does, or if his solution will work properly or not for you. My first suggestion is to try another download. If you're sure you have the file in the correct location then I'd try a different download source or a redownload (maybe both) of the file you need. Sometimes files can become corrupt and what not during download or not download completely which may cause the software to read an incorrect file checksum upon trying to locate 500.PBP thus causing an error.

Last time I semi-bricked my psp, that happened and I did what I said, and it worked, do give it a try! (if you're not gone)

hey man you ate me . now i cant play any game or homebrew. it says region incorrect . wat the hell man . im scared and its not my psp.:( :'( :'(
