Yeah, I do know that it has been hacked, but IMHO, the DSi offers nothing to make me want to buy it. Yes, something has been loaded, but who knows when/if that will lead to an easy solution like the flash carts out for current gen DS's. And personally, for the dinky handheld that the DS is, any kind of time consuming hack is really not worth it.
The PSP acts as a PMP... a GOOD one at that. If I had to get in there and solder to get CFW on it, I probably would because it is worth the effort. Don't get me wrong though. I'm glad that it is being hacked a whatnot, because there are those who want it and would like to see it hacked. But I do think that a consumer boycott of the DSi and PSP 3000 would be nice so we can show companies that stupid pointless hardware updates like these 2 wastes of money have won't be tolerated.
