So, you want the PSP to have wireless internet anywhere you go as long as you're 2 feet away from your computer that has internet?

I honestly dont get what you are trying to do. So, your school doesn't have wireless access i'm assuming, so you want to enable wireless access to get internet on your PSP. The usb dongle that crait mentioned will do that for you, but I don't get what all the other extra hardware you mentioned is for. And a few other things to consider...

1. Using the USB dongle on a school computer might not work depending on the security used. You may not be able to install the necessary drivers for it.

2. These USB dongles dont pull internet out of thin air... the computer they are connected to has to have some kind of internet access, either wired or wireless.

3. Depending on the school network, you may not even be able to get an IP address. If your school's IT guy has done his job correctly, then he has only allowed a certain range of IP addresses with each computer having a manually assigned IP address.

4. This all comes down to having access to a computer. The range of the USB dongles isn't great, and if you've got a computer sitting there, why not just use that? If you are trying to use your PSP to get around the school's filters, that's not going to work. The PSP is going to be connecting to the same network that the computers are on. Your PSP internet will be just as filtered, but with less speed, less cache, less compatibility with websites.

Honestly, the whole thing is pointless. Sorry to burst your bubble.

I'm quite confused as to what in the world you are trying to do as well.
The dongle that crait posted is just like the wifimax. You hook it up to your computer and you can use the computer as awireless bridge. Brent's post explained everything perfectly fine though, just read point #2.

I'm just clarifying that you want to be able to use wireless internet no matter where you go on your psp? If so then it is not possible. You must have some sort of signal to use, you can't pull it out of thin air like brent said. Those wifi dongles only have a limited range. Sorry, but if that is what you are trying to do then it is not possible.

Do you even know what that device is intended for? But whatever, I still want to know what the point of adding a wireless adapter to a psp is when it already has an on board wireless adapter XD

This whole thing is a confusing concept. If you'd use better grammer and syntax, maybe I'd understand it better.

@Advent,
If you plug that into your computer, you're computer will send out a wi-fi signal that your PSP can pick up so you can have internet access even if you don't have a wireless router.
