Upgrading my PSP 1000 to either 2000 or 3000?

I having been toying with the idea of getting a new PSP. I really like the fact that with the 2000 (Slim) it has a video output so you can play your favorite games on a TV screen.

I am now with the choice whether I should get a PSP 2000 or the new PSP 3000. Of what I have read so far, the PSP 3000 can play homebrew with the new HEN hack, but it yet doesn't support ISOs or CSOs Rips and etc. Is this right?

Let me know your thoughts??

First of all, thank you for posting this thread in the right section.

Can the 3000 be hacked yet? If not, the either wait for the 3000 to have a hack OR if you are really eager, get the 2000 model.

I'd say the upgrade to 2000 would be worth the effort, as long as you get one without the TA-88 or TA-90 motherboard.

I think I saw some news that the 3000 can be fully hacked now, but there is also rumoured news about the PSP Go! which will be a new psp version. I'd suggest getting that unless you are eager to put CFW on your new psp. I doubt the new PSP will be hacked swiftly.

Ooh, I didn't think it would be this complicated to get a PSP-2000. So I have to check to make sure I don't the one with the wrong motherboard? Anything else that I should know? If I get the one with the right motherboard, what will be the guide I should follow in order to play homebrew on it and etc.?

id go with a psp 2000, with a motherboard that is known to be hackable, like i mean fully, playing isos and such.
you can get them pretty cheap depending on where your going to get it too.
And if your ok with waiting for several months. wait till the new PSP comes out. then buy a 2000-3000
By then they will be completely hackable, And cheap because the new PSP's will drive the price of the older ones down.

yeah noticed that one too. decided against it-it being so old. oh well. i like looking at these old topics- you see posts by people that havent been around in a long time.

i feel like i dont belong, and im scanning some past archives about members that were here and gone long before me. amazing to see their post count.
