PSP Go Fun fact.

If anyone read the new game informer about Halo: Reach, it's has a ton of lists about the best and worst of 2009.

I thought it was interesting to note that the #1 disapointment of 2009 was the PSP Go.
Right in front of #2 The X360 Red Rings still happening.

In the US it hasn't had tremendous success, they are probably naming it a failure because they had high hopes for a brand new PSP 2 or at least a PSP 4000 with a UMD drive.

Even though it is an awesome little gadget, people were let down because of the price.

I'm let down by the features more so than the price. Price I almost don't even care about... but features are killing me. With such a massive redesign you'd almost EXPECT something like a "PSP2" overhaul, but I'm still disappointed with not having a second analog stick, particularly, but knowing that they don't even TELL you the battery % left is disappointing or that it is hard to replace the battery or that you can't use UMD's or use games you've already purchased.

I think the Go! has done poorly because there's already a ton of folks that are quite comfortable with the current handhelds they've become accustomed to, and that the only TRUE audience the PSP Go! targets is owners of previous versions of PSP. The problem with that is that if you get one, you can't use stuff you've already purchased and that is probably the most frustrating thing. For someone looking for a new system though, it's certainly an option I would heavily consider. I might pick one up just to hack the donkey balls out of it.

@DPM - True, I was more so let down by the features as well.

If you could transfer you current game catalog
It needs two analog sticks, why is it so hard to understand?
I needs longer battery life
It feels really weird in my hands too

Sony needs to let you create backups of your PS1 games to "legitimately" play them on the PSP too :P.
I'd like to get a new PSP Go but it's just missing too much :(.

They took it out almost assuredly to mask the fact that it has less battery life. I'm sure they may add it back in, but either way you put it, the decision to remove that feature seems really s**ty to me. The PSP go is a great device though, don't get me wrong. If any of you haven't had HANDS ON time with it I highly recommend that you do... but at the current prices and the current features that aren't present I just can't justify the purchase.

Very true. They need to let you import the games you have on umd over to PSN free. They'll figure it out. Or ignore it. I'm betting on the latter
