Hello everyone, it's been a long time and I am back again, last time I checked the custom firmware on PSP was still a hassle to get running, but it looks like it is much easier now.

I still have my 1.50 PSP 1001, and I just realize how much I missed playing with it, fastloader, SNES, GBA, etc.. but it is time to upgrade and get some new stuff in there.

What is the current process?
I read somewhere that I need to install the newest official firmware first, is that really the case now?
And after that some sites suggest 6.60 PRO B-9 while others 6.60ME-1.6
What do you guys run on your PSP? Which one is better.

I just want to be able to playback videos without hassle of converting, renaming, going through hoops.
basically the videoes are either .avi or .flv (downloaded from Youtube)..

6.60 Pro b-10 should be good.

I reviewed already and finally with I ended up getting 6.60 ME, What are the late good games to play in PSP?

If you still have your psp at 1.5, I'll assume you haven't played any recent games.
So MGS Peacewalker (or get the HD collection repack that came out) is one you should definitely try out, and Madden NFL 12 , LEGO Harry Potter (If you're a lego fan).

Haven't played this but have heard it's not bad : Final Fantasy Type-0 ...

Thanks, I will look around. MGS Peacewalker sounds cool, but now that I don't have as much time, I prefer pick up and play, and put it back kind of games. Maybe I will take a look at FIFA 12
