Once your psp is on custom firmware, you can take out the battery and put in another and you should be fine.

umm well if u took it out and put another one in it wouldnt "special" anymore

the battery is only used to "mod" the psp, the battery is only used to "mod" as long as it is still a Pandora battery. Once "modded" the psp uses a regular battery just like any other psp. Same with the Memory stick.
