ir shell not working

i have put the ir shell files in the right spots on my psp slim but it still doesn't work, one of the things i think it maybe is i have version 3.95 psp firmwaire but im not completely sure. anyone have any sugestions as to why the ir shell isn't working please help

You have to have custom firmware to use ir shell.

ans where can i get custom firmwire?

check the tutorial section, master tutorial list. Many methods to downgrade. pick your poison
