Help with ISOs (3.90M33-3)

So I loaded my first ISO on to my 2 gig MS on my PSP Slim.. (Tekken DR) - It is 563 meg. It works fine except the background music just beeps and blips. Am I missing something?

What is the best way to compress/play/rip ISOs on the PSP Slim? I am trying to wade through the mountains of homebrew apps out there!

Use UMDGen v4 to compress ISO -> CSO.

Nice!

Should I use .cso or .dax? Can 3.90M33-3 read both?

Use .CSO, you need some special .DaX loader for the other, but id stick with cso, I don't think anyone uses dax anymore.

Cool.

Now instead of starting a new thread, should I upgrade to CFW 3.95-GEN instead of 3.90M33-3? Any reasons why or why not to?

I'd stay on M33.

Any ideas on the Tekken background music? Could it be the ISO is messed up or is it a known issue? Also, I noticed the Tekken ISO only went from 560 meg to 540 meg compressed while a Syphon Filter demo went from 400 meg to 200 meg. Is that common when using .ciso compression?

Also, I noticed when I formatted my new Memory Stick with 3.90m33-3, it created PSP\GAME, PSP\GAME150 and PSP\GAME\380 directories. What are the differences?

I found some apps that only run on FW 1.50... is there a way to run that on Slim 3.90m33-3?

THANKS FOR YOUR PATIENCE!

EDIT: ALSO, if I have old PSX ISOs, can I play them/compress them on 3.90m33-3?
