Okay. I'm back at home and I have the already-made Pandora with a fat battery. Now, isn't it true that the slim screen doesn't turn on when using pandora? Don't I have to hold L or something? I need to get this right today, because my friend needs his PSP back, so this is my last shot.

Yeah, for psp slim, the screen doesn't show up.
I believe you have to press X once the MS light stops flashing.

Oh, this is nice. Now, my PC will not recognize my PSP when I try to put it into USB mode. Any thoughts?

It was the cord, of course. :(

YES

S-U-C-C-E-S-S THAT'S THE WAY WE SPELL SUCCESS!!!!

I did a blind install using the DCv4 installer. I just hit X after the pandora read the memory stick and it worked! WOOO! :D

Thank you all so much for your patience and help. I know what went wrong now; my USB cable was being funky and it never did a FULL install of the DCv4, so the data was corrupted...that's why it wasn't working for me with the hard-modded battery. But, with the trusty fat battery it's all good in the hood! Welcome to Homebrewing and 3.71 M33! 8)
