Analog Stick problem

i have had my psp for over two years now and it has developed a problem whereas the anolouge stick does not function correctly i diamantled my psp however i could not get the last screw undone it was the one in the bottom left corner under the void sticker, can u tell me how to get around it please, i think i know what is causing the prob, its probably the contacts on the back of the stick components have just got dirty.

Use proper title. I couldve deleted this thread if you would have read the rules. BKF

No, Its just that your analog stick is old, and worn out.

Just take off the void sticker. Your warranty ended a year ago most likely.

If you have a CFW use Joysens until you buy a new nub.

Buy one on ebay cheap!

There are 7 screws that need to be removed.
4 in the battery compartment.
2 on the right of the UMD door.
1 on the bottom, between the speakers.

Take a bar of soap, and Screw the head into it. Just enough so that the screw will stick to the screw driver.

do you think the screw could be threaded?

Yes, most screws that hold things together are threaded. It's the stripped ones you want to watch out for. If the threads were stripped then it would spin freely when you try and tighten it. If the head was stripped then obviously you would be able to tell because when you try and spin the screwdriver then it would have a grip on the screw and the screwdriver and slip and not spin the screw. Also look at the screw head to tell if it is stripped.

So did you cross check that list fox gave you and the screws that you have taken out? And what happens when you try to take the screw out under the sticker?
