OCZ and G.Skill Are definitely the best on my list. I've never use Crucial so I'm not sure but Wintec is a good brand, it's cheap and gets the job done. But OCZ has to be my favorite so far. It's extremely easy to oc.

Are you asking like what brand to get or are you just seeing what brands everyone uses?

Ah ok, well I was unsure whether this should be in help or in general chat.

I believe in terms of retail store brands (like walmart and bestbuy) maybe Kingston is a great brand. But of course any good computer equipment won't be sold at the average retail store. If you want worth while ram, while still cheaper and better then what you can get at bestbuy, go with one of the brands I've listed. OCZ, G.Skill, Wintec, and Corsair/Crucial (The last two cost a good amount though) are all great reliable brands in my book, not to mention they are the main choice of computer "enthusiasts".

Alright cool, I've been looking at newegg and I found fairly cheap RAM for my cousin's computer. It's kinda old too.

Theres this one, Kingston.
And crucial.
And WINTEC.

It will be one of those probably.

I'd just try the Wintec. It's ten bucks cheaper, and at pc2700 it probably won't even matter about the timings. But yea, I'd just go with the Wintec. Dpm got 2 1gb sticks of Wintec and I believe he liked them.
