psp crashes when viewing pictures or playing emulators

I've tried upgrading and downgrading my psp and have tried formating and switching memory cards, I've gone through firmware versions 3.90m33,1.5,3.03oe-c,and 3.40oe-a and so far all I've tried is not working. When I try to view a photo it loads it and I can flip it left and right but when I zoom in or out or click view mode it freezes and then the psp shuts off. I have tried different pictures too. And when I'm playing an emulator like gpsp9 somwhere between a half an hour to two hours it will give me a blue screen saying "I regret to inform you but your psp has just crashed". Another thing I forgot to say, I have two psps and this topic is all about the second one. My first psp has some problems with the joystick component on the motherboard. But nothing like this has ever happend on my first one even with the memory stick I use on my second one. And another thing when I was at 3.90m33 on the second one I didn't have the picture problem it was just the emulator problem.

Maybe some PRX's are corrupted?
Did you leave your PSP out in the sun or cold?
Maybe it messed up your memory on the motherboard.

No idea, I've never heard of that. Try upgrading to 4.01 M33.

haha good point Yumiko. yea that was my first guess that maybe his CFW was corrupted on install.
you should try updating if its possible. you dont have much to loose. and incase people havnt heard of em yet, there are psp viruses, ive got one myself on OFW and it was ridiculous.

you may have one, you may not. if you cant update, then your best bet is to re-install your CFW through another psp or by making another pandora.

I'm going to try upgrade to 4.01 m33-2, but I'm wondering if this could make any problems with the psp on the gpsp emulator I have 31 games with 31 game saves and 28 state saves. I thought of this because on my jailbroken iTouch I have almost 2,000 songs and when I play TTR it crashes but before when I only had about 50 songs it worked perfectly.

Network Updating your PSP will download DAX's latest M33 firmware and it'll update it.
