my wifi and wired internet has been terrrible lately, on friday me and my brother struggled to get the laptop and the xbox 360 running smoothly, we came home on sunday and it has not improved, we know the laptops and xbox 360's wifi routers are working good as we took them to our dads and they worked fine on his wireless network, could this be the wireless router at my house or is it just a tempary problem, we have reset the wireless router many times but it makes no difference to the speed, does anyone know what i can do to improve the internet speed?

I guess your modem is the problem then?

dont use wifi for xbox, use an ethernet cable. I've always had issues with the xbox wifi and its very unreliable. I use the ethernet and it runs smooth as a baby's bottom.

If that doesnt help you might want to check your firewall settings on your modem to make sure the ports are forwarded for your xbox.

its ok now i think i know the source of the problem it was because i was downloading on utorrent and the router was sending all available internet to the laptop hence the xbox was struggling.
