Your best bet would be to find out what motherboard you have and google it for overclocking..

Some of them let you do it in the BIOS settings.. Some are jumper settings...

I'd do a lot of research first as to not FUBAR your motherboard...

Good luck!!

Overclocking can be pretty dangerous without upgrading your cooling system. On stock cooling you usually can't overclock it that much. I only have my AMD Athlon 64 X2 2.3Ghz overclocked to 2.5Ghz for safety. I could overclock it higher, but I want to wait till I get a liquid cooling system and a BE dual core.

But if you want to look into it then I suggest going to http://overclock.net They are one of the best websites I have found in terms of information about overclocking and computer stuff in general. Also like Jazmania said, you can usually overclock it in the Bios, by increasing the FSB, and other aspects such as voltage in small increments and then running stability tests. If you can't overclock it through the bios, not to mention overclocking by jumpers suckzor, you can always try software which is not really used that much either.

Ohh, well I knew overclocking was dangerous, it's because my cousin and I installed a water cooling tubes in my computer. And I wanted to overclock, seeing that it won't burn the circuit.

Thanks for the help. I'll try that now. ^_^

Ohhh, lol. Well I didn't really "install" them. I called a guy from Geeksquad, took my coputer to Bestbuy, and they helped me.

But I think I helped, which makes me feel special. Lol.

Haha im surprised geeksquad even knows what liquid cooling is. I tried to get a job there, it's sad though that I'm technically certified to be the manager yet to young to even work there at all. Well, according to that age persecution law, it shouldn't matter how old I am as long as I'm 16 and older, yet they "prefer" to hire 18 and older employees. I'm so going to sew.

Anyways, im sure you did more then them ;)
