Do i need the Pandora battery???

If i have a psp with the stock 1.50 Firmware, do i need the pandora battery to put the newest 4.01 m33 custom firmware on it or can i just load the newest firmware?

no you don't need pandora...pandora is what brings you to 1.50 or custom firmware. You'll have to upgrade to 3.52 m33 then to 4.01 m33

Cool thats good news. Thanks for the reply. I have been searching but i havent found anything real clear. I have not did anything to try and unlock my psp because i cant find how. Do i even need to unlock it? Also how do i upgrade the firmware to the customs?

you can start off with this...just skip the downgrade process because you're already at 1.50. Scroll to custom firmware and click on 3.52 m33-4 and it will give you a tutorial on how to upgrade.

I'll look for a tutorial for 4.01 m33 and post back with it here when i find it. You can skip the homebrew and iso/cso section until you've upgraded to 4.01 m33 as well. Once you've upgraded to 4.01 m33, format your mem stick and then you should automatically get all the new folders for that firmware on your stick, then install any homebrew and iso/cso files that you might want.

Thanks a lot. I think this will help out a lot. Will this allow me to play emulators and up to date games?

Also do i need that 1.50 kernel?
