Firmware compatibility

I've recently downgraded my PSP to Firmware 3.71 M33-2 and intend to mainly use my PSP for playing old roms. I was able to get Snes9xTYL working fine, but I am having a hard time getting Nester J to work. I've researched the forums for help and have done what was advised but am still getting an error message that the "game could not be started". Is nester J compatible w/ my current firmware? Do I need to change it? Any help would be appreciated.

1. update to 4.01m33 at darkalex.org
2. You're most likely using the 1.50 kernel version, there is a 3.xx version, but just go ahead and install the 1.50 plugin for 4.01m33 also at darkalex.org
