Still Scan Lines?

Heyo, I just got me another mem stick after having it stolen last year, now I wanna get a PSP-3000, and I have 2 questions:

1.) Is the new PSP-3000 cores system still having problems with the scan lines?
2.) When is the next version of the PSP coming out, any news or guesses?
3.) What is the best downgrader to use?

thx, I've been out of the scene for a while

# 1 There were never problems with that. You can't tell the difference and really, no one noticed them until that one article got onto QJ.net.
I would get a PSP-3000 if you're planning on upgrading.

# 2 I bet the PSP 2 is coming out in 1 1/2 to 2 years.
I think I said November 2010 was my guess.

# 3 There isn't one for the PSP-3000.
I don't really know if that's what you were asking for or not.

Not on the 3000, sorry.
Yeah, PSP2 or PSP-4000 will probably come out then. Whatever you want to call the next model.

No, it was never hacked by Datel.
It's interesting what they did, actually.
They marketed a new battery they made as a Pandora for the 3000.
They put it up for pre-orders and were going to start selling them in the near future. (It would still be unreleased today.)
About a few weeks ago, they decided to secretly change the features of the battery stating that it only puts PSP-2000 models into service mode and only works as a regular battery for the PSP-3000 instead of being a Pandora for both.
This made a lot of people angry and right now, Datel is being sued by Sony.
I personally believe that since they always steal the PSP hacking scene's tools and programs and sell them, they were probably waiting for DAX or someone to get the Pandora to work on the PSP-3000 and then release it publicly. They would then proceed to take his work and market it as their own but this time, they'd be able to say they had a working form of it for a longer time than DAX.
So, a lot more people lost respect for Datel, and hopefully they get what they deserve.

You really need to be more specific when you say 'hack'.

Homebrew is developing on the 3000, but there is no way to put custom firmware on it. It will be a while before that is possible. If you want to progress with the scene and mess around with the little homebrew applications that pop up, then go get a 3000. If you're expecting it to be anything like the scene with the 1000 and 2000 then you will are sorely mistaken.

Any idea on an estimate for when you'll be able to put a CFW on a 3000?

Team N00bz made an HEN, but you'll have to wait a while before getting it publically.
At most, I estimate a month.

I could be longer than a month. They do have an exploit. AN exploit... only 1. They won't release anything until they at least find another in case Sony decides to patch things up. Plus, they have to make things clean and legit to keep themselves safe.

What do you mean?
It's always been the same way.
They released the HEN with the exploit found no matter what firmware it's on.
They did this in the 2.X era.
Maybe you weren't around...
Usually, though, they find a way around the patch while working on the HEN and release it for all firmwares.
